As Controller for NantHealth, you're responsible for leadership and oversight of all accounting related functions including general ledger close, technical accounting, consolidations, and external SEC reporting for the company and oversight over private subsidiary entities in Canada and the UK. You're a business-oriented Controller with both strong technical accounting skills and application of strong internal controls around financial reporting management of public company needs.
You're a collaborative partner to the CFO, working with a high functioning team and you're capable of supporting multiple business areas and product portfolios, functional leaders, and geographic office locations with timely and accurate financial close and reporting.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee the company's policies including Revenue Recognition and provide guidance to business leaders on these policies with adherence to ASC 606 and other accounting standards
- Manage SEC reporting and Technical accounting functions such that all filing are completed in an accurate and timely manner as well as applicable guidance is implemented into the company's financials
- Manage audit process with company's external auditors and present to Audit Committee when applicable
- Liaison with internal and external legal council on various legal and accounting matters
- Write, review, and present various accounting memo's and positions to internal and external stakeholders
- Build on tax needs for all sales, state, and corporate tax requirements including quarterly provision oversight
- Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of systems, processes, and company data
- Build out & finalize a SOX Compliance program and strengthen internal controls for company
- Lead accounting implementation of a new ERP solution
- Ability to manage accounting activities tied to complex Divestitures, M&A, or other non-standard items
- Participate in a wide variety of special projects and initiatives that may span multiple departments
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own job area, which may include external auditors
- Provides explanation and guidance; enforces day-to-day operational procedures and may communicate broader objectives
- Requires ability to influence others outside of own job area on policies, practices and procedures
- Explains policies, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization; represents team and manages communication on behalf of their functional area with other leaders
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification
- Ten years of hands-on accounting managerial experience for private & public company

- Proven knowledge and experience to oversee the activities of the corporate accounting department for the accurate and timely close of the company's financials with ability to meet tight timelines for quarterly and yearly financial reporting requirements

The salary range for remote US-based applicants for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate's qualifications, prior experience as well as geographic location.
- $150,000 - $196,000 base salary, plus bonus potential.
