Job Description
Title : Network Engineer
Location: Anaheim CA (Hybrid)
VISA: live near Anaheim and must be willing to drive into the office and on location for changes as needed.
The Network Engineer will be supporting multiple facets of the business in different locations.
The right candidate will have experience with a LAN Switch Networks doing global routing, access switches, installations, configurations and troubleshooting within Layer 2 and Layer 3.
Summary: In this role, the Network Engineer is responsible for the development and maintenance of network communications. This role uses knowledge of LAN/MAN/WAN systems to help design and install internal and external networks. The Network Engineer tests and evaluates network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements.
Top Three Skills:
1. Switching - Candidates must have experience configuring Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches using IO-S and NX-OS.
2. Routing- Candidates must have configured network layer 3 routing across a large multi-national organization on Cisco routers; Catalyst, ISR & ASR
3. Wi-Fi – Exposure with Cisco and Aruba APs and controllers is a plus
Nice to have: Wireless, Cisco & Aruba APs and controllers. Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, Wireless
Primary Skills :
* Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in the field or in a related area
* Possesses one or more industry standard certifications including CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, etc.; ITIL v3 studies expected is a plus
* Experience configuring Cisco Catalyst and Nexus Switches using IO-S and NX-OS
* Familiar with a variety of the field concepts, practices, and procedures
* Well-versed with the advanced engineering and administration of multiprotocol (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, ISIS) routers, multilayer switches, network security devices and network management systems
* Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
* Must have configured network layer 3 routing across a large multi-national organization on Cisco routers: Catalyst, ISR and ASR
* Must be familiar with managed services concepts within an outsourcing environment
* Nice to have: Wireless, Cisco and Aruba APs and controllers
Salary : $40 - $50
