Conemaugh Nason Medical Center is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join their Emergency Department. This position provides direct care for patients to the fullest extent of his/her training in accordance with organizational policies. Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN functions as a member of the patient care team to implement the patients' plan of care. Provides care to promote patient safety during all aspects of care and meets the day-to-day needs of the patients we serve.
Duties included, but are not limited to the following:
- Demonstrates understanding of hospital infection control procedures and utilizes appropriate hand washing and universal precautions at all times.
- Promptly answers patient/staff requests and fulfills/finds appropriate staff to respond to need as soon as possible.
- Provides direct patient care as directed by RN including all activities of daily living; such as bathing, feeding, dressing, transporting, toileting, and ambulating patients.
- Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge patients

Minimum Education- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of Practical Nursing program.
Minimum Work Experience- One year of healthcare experience preferred (e.g. Acute or LTC setting).
- Current Practical Nurse license in the state of Pennsylvania.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification or successful completion within 3 months.
