Nassau Candy is a leading importer, manufacturer and distributor of candy, specialty confections, fine foods, and promotional products.
We are currently seeking a well-rounded Director of Process Improvement to partner with site leaders across all aspects of the business, instill a culture of continuous improvement, and lead business transformation.
This unique and exciting role will implement and oversee Organizational Excellence & Process Improvement across all business groups to improve organizational effectiveness and profitability, and will champion process management including the tools, cadence, and rigor required to drive success.
Essential Functions:
- Lead business transformation
- Enhance and optimize organizational effectiveness
- Align organization structure to the business to promote growth
- Develop and implement cost improvement projects through operational efficiencies
- Support and recommend business design and re-design projects
- Prioritize improvement efforts that enable teams to operate more efficiently
- Disciplined in both developing and implementing process improvement initiatives
- Organize, plan, and deliver training in LEAN Management and/or Continuous Improvement principles
- Develop systematic measures; establish, review, and analyze business results to monitor effectiveness (productivity, customer metrics, efficiency, TPM, etc.)
- Institute change management practices and methodology in conjunction with Human Resources
- Build internal consulting capability across various business groups
- May perform other duties and participate on or lead projects as required by the Department and/or business
Minimum Requirements:
- 10 years progressive experience in continuous improvement and organizational efficiency in a MANUFACTURING / FOOD environment. Bachelor's / Master's Degree.
- Demonstrated experience in fundamental LEAN and Process Improvement tools (5S, Standard Work, Six Sigma, etc.)
- Education and experience in Organizational Development, Organizational Effectiveness, Process Engineering, or equivalent preferred
- Experience working in a GMP environment in manufacturing & distribution organizations
- Project management, facilitation, and consulting
- Proven expertise in assessment (including data collection and analysis), diagnosis, feedback, and strategy design; including implementation and ongoing support
- Demonstrated experience consulting with senior leaders and teams
- Ability to simplify complex structures; able to research and analyze various types of data; sound judgment
- High in emotional intelligence and listening skills
