Job Summary:
We are seeking an Expeditor to join our team in a fast-paced dining environment. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of food from the kitchen to customers, maintaining quality and timeliness.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely delivery
- Verify accuracy and completeness of orders before they are served
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and serving staff to prioritize orders
- Ensure all dishes meet quality standards and presentation guidelines
- Assist in final preparation of dishes before they are served
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the expediting area
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a food service environment, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with kitchen and serving staff
- Customer service-oriented mindset to ensure customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including cooking processes and banquet service
