GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This Product Development role supports the team in the on-time execution of product launches that drive growth for consumer-packaged goods brands in skincare, body care, cosmetics, and/or baby care categories. This position is responsible for maintaining project timelines, averting delays, product specifications, and leading cross-functional collaboration within Operational and Supply Chain initiatives.
This position will serve as a junior project manager for the production of new product launches. There will be a major focus on supporting the development of strategic and tactical procurement initiatives. We are looking for a candidate with good project management skills, and relevant brand/ merchandising experience, who is self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. We have an in-office environment that reports to the office 5-day per week, and we do not offer remote opportunities at this time so we are only considering local candidates or those already planning to move to the Dallas area.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assists the Product Development team in tracking the deliverables and timelines for upcoming programs; seeks to remove bottlenecks and address concerns of future risks
- Understands the full product life cycle; coordinates the development timeline to match production schedules/calendars, advising material specifications, and budgetary costs per project.
- Clearly defines important milestones for each product launch and communicates key partners and how the department plans to achieve such
- Works closely with key partners on the maintenance of a rolling forecast/ supply plan for the portfolio to balance both service and total inventory position
- Collaborate with R&D labs, Packaging suppliers, and other Manufacturing partners to develop effective strategies to support New Business opportunities.
- Manages process documentation for Conscious Beauty and Environmental Sustainability efforts
- Activates testing with lab partners and utilizes appropriate resources or agencies to ensure that deliverables are compliant with regulations and meet project timelines and brand expectations.
- Provides clear direction on sequencing of events to ensure clarity of team’s activities and accountability between project members to help support successful and on-time project deliveries.
- Anticipates issues ahead of team members to develop contingencies to meet project timelines and minimize risks.
- Effectively communicates relevant project information to the team and senior leaders in the company to keep projects moving in the right direction.
- Leads and applies company methodology and enforces project standards.
- Manages Excess and Obsolete with an overall goal to improve purchasing flow and minimize destruction costs
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Minimum of 2 yrs experience in a project manager role with experience in a product or merchandising-related role.
- Excellent planning, organization, and follow-up skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Logical thinker, with a sound analytical approach to solving problems.
- Ability to develop solutions in ambiguous situations.
- Adapts well to changes in timelines and business needs.
- Must be highly collaborative and communicate well with experts in a variety of departments. Excellent project management skills and follow-up communication
- Clear written and verbal communication across levels and departments.
- Ability to connect the dots and anticipate issues to avoid setbacks.
- Advanced working knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- CPG or beauty category experience is preferred.
Salary : $63,000 - $79,800
