Essential Functions:
· Overall responsibility for directing finance and accounting activities of hotel division.
· Oversee month-end end closing process.
· Direct and mentor hotel accountants.
· Responsible for day-to-day accounting of at least one hotel.
· Work with corporate accounting office in implementing accounting policies and process across the hotel division.
· Work with corporate office in planning and analysis including budgeting and forecasting for the hotel division.
· Responsible for hotel accounting operating procedures.
· Responsible for maintaining accounting and finance systems.
· Assist in future acquisitions.
Requirements
· Hotel and planning experience, along with property-based responsibility preferred.
· Multi-property responsibility preferred.
· Understanding of occupancy taxes related to hotel operations.
· Detail oriented and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
· Understanding of hotel financial statements to provide support in explaining key variances.
· Excellent communication and leadership skills.
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or an equivalent hospitality designation preferred.
