Esports Marketing and Communication Manager
Reports To: Executive Director, NACE
Summary:
This is a full-time position that is in direct contact with NACE membership and external groups and oversees communications with those groups. This person will have the creative, technical, marketing communication, and project management skills to directly conceptualize, design, pre-plan, and execute intimate to massive communication activations. The National Association of Collegiate Esports (NACE) is a nonprofit membership association organized by and on behalf of our member institutions and is the only body of college esports in North America. You will be expected to:
• Represent a national organization of 120+ colleges and universities
• Be the primary contact for media inquiries
• Be a self-starter with strong organizational skills
• Be a liaison to various the Competition Council and coaching bodies as assigned
• Travel 20 to 30 days per year
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Communications Management:
• Create and design graphic elements for all NACE products and services
• Establish event KPIs and drive comprehensive marketing analysis and reporting across the NACE association
• Proactively plans and updates milestone schedule with internal and external partners (i.e. publishers, event organizers, media) to allow adequate time for communication-related deliverables
• Responsible for the daily dissemination of esports industry and association news to membership via a e-newsletter
• Collaborate with other NACE departments, including Marketing and Memberships to ensure the successful launch and conclusion of NACE championships
• Coordination with NACE’s media partners to distribute releases, announcements, and other communication resources
• Liaison with the Competition Council to promote NACE competition and endorsed events
• Promotion of the NACE National Convention
• Promotional communication in partnership with NACE sponsors
• Supports all association services and departments in conveying information and creating awareness through content writing and graphic design. Departments supported include Membership Services, Government and Industry Affairs, Competition, Media, and Publisher Relations
• Coordinates the appearance of all Association print and electronic materials such as letterhead, use of logo, brochures, publications, website (nacesports.org), etc. and develop written content to support such materials
• Manage the Association’s social media presence across all pertinent platforms
• Contribute to membership service projects and special events, as assigned
• Travels routinely to Association events by airplane and/or driving an automobile
• Other related duties as required
Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
• At least 2 years’ experience in marketing
• A passion for events, esports, and video games
• Impeccable organizational and time-management abilities
• Exceptional creative and logistical problem-solving skills
• Self-starting with the ability to handle multiple demanding projects simultaneously
• Remarkable attention to detail as well as ability to understand the big picture
• Experience with event broadcasting in its various forms
• Experience with PhotoShop, InDesign, and website building platforms is preferred
• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Able to act with discretion when handling confidential matters
• Able to maximize resources and establish productive business relationships internally and with vendors
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with a service-oriented attitude
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
