Job Purpose
The Fleet Performance Analyst plays a critical role in the support of the 9,200 National Grid Fleet vehicles. The role supports our operations and fleet services teams by providing key data and reporting for the management of the fleet. The role interacts regularly with management and leadership in support of strategic objectives. Responsible to build and report KPI dashboards to drive department performance.
This role is primarily focused on developing and improving fleet cost forecasting and providing other reporting support for our core gas and electric business units. The position is hybrid (in office once a week) and is based out of Syracuse or Hicksville.

$96,000- $113,000 a year - DNY Hicksville
$80,000 - $94,000 a year - UNY Syracuse, NY

Key Accountabilities
- Lead fleet forecasting for vehicle costs using a variety of analytical/forecasting tools.
- Build reports to support business unit initiatives and provide business insights.
- Performs complex analyses and studies to support management decision making, such as: Technician Staffing Analysis, Total Cost of Ownership Modelling and Asset Lifecycle Modelling.
- Primary support for Rate Case testimony preparation and response to information requests
- Prepare ad hoc analysis from internal/external stakeholders, including auditors and regulators.
- Deliver analysis of replacement plans along with detailed lease forecasts.
- Develop and deliver presentations to stakeholders and leadership in support of strategic initiatives.
- Lead special projects as assigned to support operations support and the fleet organization.
- Proven analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
- Forecasting experience
- Critical thinking and the ability to organize information (quantitative and qualitative).
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft PowerBI, SAP Business Objects, and/or similar business intelligence reporting tools
- Must be able to adjust to changing priorities and respond to requests in a timely fashion.
- Ability to travel to varied company and vendor locations
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, or an equivalent field required.
- Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant software primarily Excel along with the ability to learn other programs and applications such as SAP.
