What are the responsibilities and job description for the Florida School of Professional Psychology, GA-FWS position at National Louis University?
Position provides support for the PsyD Clinical Psychology Program. GA-FWS work with individual PSYD faculty to facilitate the instruction within the PSYD curriculum by performing teaching or teaching-related duties to assist faculty members, professors, department heads and other faculty.

The candidate for the Graduate Assistant (GA-FWS) must possess the required abilities: strong existing computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point); attention to detail; ability maintain confidentiality and make progress without direct supervision; professional demeanor; strong spoken and written communication skills; strong organizational skills; articulate and tactful communication skills; comfortable speaking to groups of people.

Consultation and Supervision: Will be responsible for facilitating scoring and interpretative reviews. Assisting students in preparation of videotaped role-plays for supervision exercises, critiquing tapes.
Integrative Assessment: Responsibilities may include grading Rorschach scoring, evaluating assessment reports and providing feedback, critiquing interviews, and facilitating scoring and interpretative reviews.
LAB GA’s Additional Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
The Graduate Assistant’s responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:
- Assisting professor in grading exams and/or other grading as required,
- Practicing intervention skills with students,
- Practicing and critiquing student’s skills (Intervention, Clinical and Interviewing)
- Evaluating homework assignments, reports, and assisting students with course materials.
- Providing feedback to students,
- Course preparation activities.
- Other duties may be assigned by the instructor.

- Cognitive Assessment: The focus of this lab will be on administration of intelligence tests, report writing, competency checkouts.

- Facilitating a one to two-hour per week lab.
- Providing assistance with lecture preparation, and lecturing as needed.
