Software Analyst

Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed before their expiration.
• Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with stakeholders to obtain identified savings.
• Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
• Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
• Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
• Communicate through email, individual interviews, group meetings, and presentations to end-users, management, developers, and vendors.
• Respond to requests from end-users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.

Qualifications:

• Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field degree required.
• Required - 3 or more years of equivalent industry work experience.
• Required - Position is onsite located at 10353 Richmond Ave., Houston, TX 77042.
• Knowledge of IT support tools such as Jira, SCCM, Intune, ITAM tools as well as ITIL processes
• Understanding of Software Asset Management principles and life cycles. (SAM)
• Working knowledge of reconciling software licensing and software maintenance terms and conditions.
• Ability to understand procured rights and quantities and determine compliance of deployed software assets.
• Demonstrates advanced use of Microsoft Excel to develop reports and charts for data analysis
• Familiarity and SQL queries to build and run custom reports from SQL Server and BI Skills
• Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Proven outstanding customer service, influencing/negotiating skills
• Strong and effective team player with demonstrated ability to communicate in a virtual team environment
• Demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse team to develop and maintain technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems consistent with organizational objectives and compliant with processes and procedures
• Commitment to excellence and meeting deadlines.
• ITAM certifications such as CSAM, CAMP, CHAMP, ITAM SAM Specialist, etc.
• Experience with metrics collection and analysis.
• Experience with process automation
• Knowledge of asset management principles
• Knowledge or Software Licensing

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $66,104.09 - $118,502.89 per year
