Responsibilities:
Facilitate the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed before their expiration.
Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services. Follow through with stakeholders to obtain identified savings.
Manage contracts and relationships to maximize value creation and costs for software licensing, maintenance, and service offerings.
Collect information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contracts, and cost. Assist in the development of reporting to address management requirements to obtain information.
Communicate through email, individual interviews, group meetings, and presentations to end-users, management, developers, and vendors.
Respond to requests from end-users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
Qualifications:
Required - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related field degree required.
Required - 3 or more years of equivalent industry work experience.
Required - Position is onsite located at 10353 Richmond Ave., Houston, TX 77042.
Knowledge of IT support tools such as Jira, SCCM, Intune, ITAM tools as well as ITIL processes
Understanding of Software Asset Management principles and life cycles. (SAM)
Working knowledge of reconciling software licensing and software maintenance terms and conditions.
Ability to understand procured rights and quantities and determine compliance of deployed software assets.
Demonstrates advanced use of Microsoft Excel to develop reports and charts for data analysis
Familiarity and SQL queries to build and run custom reports from SQL Server and BI Skills
Strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
Strong and effective team player with demonstrated ability to communicate in a virtual team environment
Demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse team to develop and maintain technical solutions to a wide range of complex problems consistent with organizational objectives and compliant with processes and procedures
Commitment to excellence and meeting deadlines.
ITAM certifications such as CSAM, CAMP, CHAMP, ITAM SAM Specialist, etc.
Experience with metrics collection and analysis.
Experience with process automation
Knowledge of asset management principles
Knowledge or Software Licensing

Pay: $66,104.09 - $118,502.89 per year
