Responsibilities
- Operates varied imaging equipment within general radiology and fluoroscopy where applicable, programing and adjusting equipment for accurate imaging.
- Reviews, sends, and verifies images sent to PACS for Radiologist interpretation. Consults with Radiologist for additional and/or special imaging protocol.
- Identifies, prepares, and administers contrast under the direct supervision of a licensed practitioner and documents information on the MAR where applicable.
- Accurately modifies orders to reflect appropriate procedure based on clinical questions, symptoms, and patient history per protocols.
- Assists in the orientation and training of new employees and students. Provides guidance and support in student education.
- Maintains knowledge of current applications in Radiology and complies with regulatory guidelines and policies.
- Carries out a variety of section and department functions.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited educational program for Radiologic Technology, required
Licensure:
- ARRT License, required
- Current ODH License required
Certifications:
- Current CPR Certification, required
Experience:
- 1-year clinical experience, preferred.
Skills:
- High level of communication and organizational skills
