Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operations Lead to join our Denver team. This position will assist in executing the entire product experience of prepping, cleaning, troubleshooting, and maintaining vans in preparation for customers' van life adventures. We require a candidate with strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
This is a seasonal role designed to support our operation during the peak seasons (April thru Oct), and it’s not uncommon to work long days, weekends and holidays. Responsibilities * *
Campervan Detailing & Preparation
- Execute meticulous cleaning procedures for campervans immediately after rental returns, ensuring they are pristine and ready for the next customer.
- Prepare campervans for customer pickup by conducting safety checks, restocking supplies, addressing any maintenance needs, and resolving feedback from previous renters.
Customer Service & Fleet Maintenance
- Manage the customer drop-off process with professionalism, conducting thorough inspections for damages, providing assistance with inquiries, soliciting feedback, and offering valuable recommendations for itinerary planning.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance tasks for the campervan fleet to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Demonstrate mechanical expertise by efficiently addressing repair and maintenance needs between customer trips, including fluid top-offs, tire pressure checks, propane inspections, gas refueling, and interior repairs.
- Proactively manage fleet-related issues to minimize downtime and maximize customer satisfaction.
Facility Management
- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the facility, including laundry, dishwashing, and general upkeep, to create a pleasant and efficient working environment.
- Ensure exterior landscaping is well-maintained to enhance the overall appearance of the facility and uphold a positive brand image.
- Uphold high standards of cleanliness and maintenance in the shop premises to meet or exceed company expectations.
Operations Oversight
- Assume responsibility for location operations in the absence of the Operations Manager, ensuring seamless continuity of operations and adherence to company policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Positive, engaging attitude
- Must be able to work weekends, 7-day stretches, nights & holidays
- Self-starter. Demonstrates ability to work independently in stressful situations
- Emotionally intelligent with a high level of self-awareness, empathy, and interpersonal skill
- Robust organizational and communication skills to coordinate with internal Customer Service Team and other departments and the desire to learn how to manage a fleet and on-site team.
- Mechanical Aptitude Needed:
- Vehicle Fluid Top-Offs
- Tire Pressure
- Propane Check
- Comfortability using basic power and hand tools
- Impeccable customer service skills – phone, email, in person, written, etc.
- Resilience under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
Qualifications
- High School Graduate, Associates Degree or higher preferred
- 1-3 years of previous work experience desired
- Outdoor Industry experience desired
- Guide, Resorts, Retail specific outdoor position, etc.
- Light Mechanical Aptitude (see above)
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Passion for travel, adventure and the general outdoors
