What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant position at Naval Systems, Inc.?
Description: NSI requires an Administrative Assistant to support PMA 259 Program Office. In addition to secretarial duties (filing, scanning, taking phone calls, scheduling appointments, making travel arrangements, preparing official correspondence), this position is required to provide administrative support to executive staff with office management responsibilities. Coordinate and participate in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) working groups, meetings, and conferences with multiple International teams to coordinate strategic planning and review of potential technologies that may aid in accomplishing those objectives. Accomplish domestic program execution tasking as assigned to ensure program office business practices are completed professionally to meet requirements. Assist in maintaining the existing PMA-259 Digital Environment tools and updating for future requirements. This position requires working independently on projects requiring research and preparation of professional quality briefing charts and other presentation materials. Strong communication and information organization skills are essential as support is required across multiple integrated teams and team leaders. Secret clearance is required. Work location is at Patuxent River NAS, MD.

Education: AS or AA degree. ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: An additional four (4) years
of experience in a FMS business or technical position can be substituted for an AS or AA degree.
Experience: At least two (2) years of experience in a n FMS business or technical position is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office software is required. Demonstrated knowledge of Security Cooperation organizational structure and policy as well as Foreign Military Sales regulations and execution processes is desired. Knowledge and experience with Defense Travel System (DTS) and Aircraft and Personnel Automated Clearance System (APACS) is desired. Knowledge of DON M-5216.5 (Department of Navy Correspondence Manual) and experience preparing official correspondence is desired. Demonstrated experience with SharePoint document sharing and routing is highly desired.
Security Clearance: Secret Clearance is Required. Must be U.S. citizen.
