Navarro Research and Engineering is recruiting a Risk Practitioner. This position is fully remote.

This position will support the Department of Energy Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED). OCED is a multi-technology office responsible for overseeing more than $20B of investment in large scale demonstrations in emerging technologies such as clean hydrogen, carbon capture, advanced nuclear reactors, grid-scale energy storage, industrial emissions reductions as well as demonstrations in rural and socioeconomically disadvantaged regions. We are looking for individuals with a range of skills and interest in large-scale clean energy demonstration projects, particularly in renewable systems, carbon capture and removal, hydrogen, and nuclear energy technologies.
This position will support the Project Management office of OCED. Individual with practical "hands on" experience in developing risk registers, leading integrated product team (IPTs), identifying risk mitigation strategies/activities, assigning contingency, tracking risks and training in risk principles and techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience in risk management, preferably in a project management environment.
- Previous Department of Energy related experience desired.
- Experience with risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and tracking.
- Experience with leading risk workshops and training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
