What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Women's Services position at Navarro Regional Medical Center?
Responsible for the maternity unit and all sub-units. Coordinates activities related to labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and the baby nursery. Responsible for community outreach programs through education and women's health initiatives. Operates within a set budget and in accordance with organizational performance standards. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must have a valid license to practice professional nursing by the state. BSN preferred. MSN or masters in related field preferred. Specialty certification in obstetrics preferred. Minimum of 7 to 10 years acute care maternal/child experience, including two years of management or supervisory experience. Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Current BCLS, NRP within 6 months, ACLS within 6 months, and AWOHNN Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months.
