Job Description
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Import Operations
Fully understand and properly follow all operational aspects of the Import department. This includes meeting internal metrics, external customer KPIs, and operational process standards
Understand department process flow, to ensure shipments are being handled in a timely manner
Ensure internal and external operating procedures are followed as per the SOP
Ensure the daily workflow is being monitored
Fully understand and properly monitor all operational aspects Import department. This includes meeting KPIs, and operational process standards
Set the standard for outstanding customer service and ensure that all client expectations are met according to the KPIs outlined in customer Standard Operating Procedures
Embrace a culture of constant improvement
Collaborate with origin offices and staff to ensure service exceeds client expectations
Support team members where needed
Assist with quotes to agents and customers
Work with manager to ensure billing accuracy and timeliness
Ensure transactions are conducted in compliance with revenue recognition requirements
Qualifications
Minimum three years import experience
Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
Excellent communication skills
Great understanding of import processes and regulations for air and ocean freight
Pro-active, strong organizational skills, eagerness to learn new skills
Good computer skills (Excel, Word)
CargoWise Experience a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
