Naviga has been retained to identify a Sales Manager for the Houston, TX market.
Title : Sales Manager
Location : Houston, TX
Reporting Relationship : This position reports to the Regional Sales Director

Responsibilities :
- Achieve company objectives for sales and profit performance, including driving top line sales, market share and bottom-line profit
- Provide leadership and talent engagement for each Sales Representative in the market or branch to ensure a positive customer experience, including building and maintaining customer relationships
- Monitor, manage and direct supervision of Sales Representatives to include responsibility for selection, hiring, development, training, performance management and new hire procedures
- Ensure execution of monthly expectations and standards, strategies and action items, including use of the Customer Relationship Management tool, execution of sales opportunities and safety procedures
- Lead bench strength planning in order to achieve and maintain sales growth requirements
- Ensure execution of all people-related initiatives i.e., training, compensation approvals & fostering positive morale
- Ensure execution of the performance management process for all Sales Representatives in the market or Branch, to include recognition and disciplinary procedures, up to and including termination of employment
- Partner with cross functional partners (Human Resources, Finance, Technology, etc.) to ensure assigned locations are in alignment with the Organization in all process and direction
Requirements :
- 5 years of Field Sales Management experience, any B2B; leading a local field sales team that is hunting for new business
- Proven Experience in Coaching and Mentoring : Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individual sales representatives, helping them to achieve their full potential and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Performance Management Expertise : Skilled in implementing performance management systems that identify top performers, provide constructive feedback, and set clear expectations for improvement or growth.
- Developing High-Performance Teams : Experience in building and nurturing a high-performing sales team through continuous training, development programs, and personalized coaching.
- Ability to Identify and Cultivate Talent : Strong ability to recognize potential in sales team members, providing the necessary support and development to elevate them to top performers.
- Strategic Talent Management : Experience in managing underperformance through effective coaching or transitioning out team members who do not meet the required standards, ensuring a consistently strong team.
- Creating a Positive and Motivating Sales Culture : Proven ability to foster a positive, competitive, and motivating environment that encourages personal growth, collaboration, and accountability.
- Effective Communication and Feedback : Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, actionable feedback and guidance that drives individual and team success.

Education :
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
