Navion is seeking an Engagement Specialist to join its home office team based out of Raleigh, NC! The Engagement Specialist will play a crucial role in fostering a positive and engaging work environment for our team members. This opportunity will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to enhance recruitment, retention, and engagement of team members within our senior living communities. The role requires frequent travel to our communities across seven states in the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Supports goals of the organization, uphold, and promote company Culture, Core Values and Mission.
- Demonstrates a positive working relationship with applicants, candidates, supervisors, team members, and Home Office through excellent time management, follow-up, and follow-through.
- Attends in-services and relevant training courses as needed.
- Demonstrates the ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Properly maintains and tracks candidate/team member information.
- Maintains professional appearance by adherence to community dress code while working on-site in a community.
- Frequent driving to our Navion communities, recruiting events, and representing Navion at various venues and events, as needed, is required for this position.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Work schedules and assigned tasks are completed in accordance with the established policies and procedures of the Home Office.
- Promotes and protects residents’ rights, assists residents to make informed decisions, treats residents with dignity and respect, supports residents’ independent expression, choice, and decision- making consistent with all pertinent laws regarding residents’ rights. Reports suspected abuse or neglect in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
- Safety precautions and practices are utilized with all community activities.
- · Recruitment Support: Assist in the development and execution of innovative recruitment strategies to attract top talent to our communities. Collaborate closely with the community leaders and regional team to ensure recruitment goals are met.
- · Employee Engagement: Develop and implement engagement programs designed to foster a positive work environment and elevate team members’ morale. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of these programs in achieving desired engagement levels.
- · Retention Initiatives: Collaborate with community leaders to design and implement retention strategies that reduce turnover and improve employee satisfaction.
- · Training and Development: Facilitate and support the training programs for team members at various levels, ensuring alignment with our company’s values and operational standards.
- · Event Planning and Management: Organize and manage events aimed at team member recognition and team building across multiple locations, as well as Home Office events.
- · Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key performance indicators related to recruitment, retention, and engagement, and prepare detailed reports for senior management.
- · Stakeholder Communication: Function as a liaison between the corporate office and community leaders, ensuring effective communication and alignment of engagement efforts.
- · Potential Crossover Initiatives: Collaborate with community leaders to create and promote initiatives and events that benefit both team members and residents, fostering a cohesive and inclusive organizational culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in human resources or a related role, preferably in the senior living or healthcare industry.
- Strong understanding of employee engagement and retention strategies.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Experience in event planning and management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
- Ability to travel frequently within the Southeast region. May require some air travel. Hold valid driver’s license and auto insurance.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
