Requirements
Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Graduate of an accredited RN program
Hold an active NJ license
BLS/ACLS

- Experience in Ophthalmology is a plus.
- Must be a graduate of an accredited RN program.
- Hold an active NJ license.
- BLS/ACLS
- Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Reports directly to the Director of Nursing.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the Perioperative Nurse include the following:
- Interact appropriately and effectively with all members of the healthcare team: Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, Nurses, Scrub Techs, Central Processing Department, patients, families, etc. Maintain HIPPA.
- Uses Standard Universal Precautions, appropriate hand hygiene, use of PPE, and safe practices to ensure personal, patient, and environmental safety.
- Attends all in-services, conferences, meetings.
- Complete all education, competencies, and instructions for use.
- Can communicate and collaborate effectively with all perioperative team members to promote a safe surgical environment and ensure safe surgical outcomes.
