We are seeking a Pharmacist, Clinical Outcomes to join our Lumicera Clinical Services department!
The Pharmacist, Clinical Outcomes' main duty is to provide clinical expertise and oversight to Lumicera Clinical Programs and Manufacturer Programs and ensure optimal patient health outcomes. Pharmacists in this role will be part of Lumicera's Clinical Pharmacovigilance team and will be designated Program Managers for our Manufacturer programs. This role will perform telephonic consultations with patients regarding the use of their specialty medication and management of their disease state. The Pharmacist, Clinical Outcomes will routinely perform medication reconciliation and screen for potential drug interactions to ensure medication safety. This individual will focus on ensuring positive clinical patient outcomes and will use this outcomes data to provide meaningful research opportunities to the company.

Responsibilities
How do I make an impact on my team?
- Oversee the management and compliance of various Clinical Manufacturer Programs.
- Able to produce, perform and maintain clinical program materials and services. Including, but not limited to development of clinical pathways, limited distribution strategies and addition of evidence-based practice materials.
- Conducts process improvement and generates ideas to further the development of clinical, client, and manufacturer programs around specialty medications.
- Analyzes clinical patient outcomes in attempt to provide meaningful research opportunities to the organization and manufacturers.
- Ability to provide operational education and documentation to teams on process updates as it relates to implementation of manufacturer programs.
- Ability to represent Lumicera as a client or manufacturer point of contact. Present clinical materials and maintain relationships for Lumicera’s partner.
- Creation of clinical presentations the convey outcomes from manufacturer programs. Willingness to present clinical findings to internal and external stakeholders.
- Verifies prescriptions for pharmaceutical preparations and devices for patients at company facilities; maintains accurate and detailed records of all prescription transactions, and submits appropriate claims for third-party reimbursement; consults with physicians and nurses regarding pharmaceutical questions; advises physicians on formulary medications and cost-effective and innovative therapies; answers pharmaceutical questions from patients and staff; monitors storage, distribution, and use of pharmaceuticals.
- Provide oversight and quality assurance to pharmacy technicians. Interpret physicians' or prescribers' prescriptions. Contact providers and/or patients to verify information on prescriptions such as drug strength, prescription signatures, and drug name to expedite processing of orders. Verify and confirm validity of controlled substances.
- Verify prescription information entered in the system by data entry or order entry. Contact physicians for new and/or transfer authorization. Work with physicians to convert prescriptions to generic or preferred drugs whenever possible.

Qualifications
What our team expects from you?
- Graduate of ACPE Accreditation School of Pharmacy with a B.S. Pharmacy or PharmD, degree
- Current, unrestricted Pharmacist license in state where any on-site pharmacy work will be conducted; must continually maintain education credits to maintain active licensure
- Minimum of two years as a licensed Pharmacist required
- Specialty Pharmacy experience or solid understanding of specialty pharmacy drugs including REMS and Limited Distribution Products best practices required
- Experience working and developing clinical, client and/or manufacturer programs preferred
- Participate in, adhere to, and support compliance program objectives
- The ability to consistently interact cooperatively and respectfully with other employees
