Overview
To gain valuable insight into Navy Federal's business, technology, resources, and procedures by providing support in Navy Federal's Enterprise Technology Services (ETS), Talent Development and Communication (TD&C) team. This position will develop, and support talent development programs focused on career path development, talent gap support, and training for all employees in ETS. Additionally, the analyst will support onboarding/orientation initiatives, performance management, and employee engagement survey efforts. The ideal candidate is conscientious, detail-oriented, and a team player with high learning agility and the desire to combine theory and best practices with practical, hands-on experience. The analyst will acquire valuable professional experience developing and supporting talent development programs through independent and collaborative team projects, while receiving guidance and direction from the team and management.
Responsibilities
- Support the ETS TD&C team by developing, implementing, and supporting talent development programs.
- Work with cross-functional teams to support talent pipeline management, focus group facilitation, recognition events, and performance management.
- Conduct detailed needs analysis to provide customized training or individual guidance to improve and develop performance for business unit leadership.
- Conduct root cause analysis, interpreting results to identify development opportunities and recommend applicable developmental solutions and alternatives.
- Engage in coaching sessions with employees and facilitate networking opportunities.
- Design materials to support talent development programs, including email templates, handouts, PowerPoint slide decks, infographics, etc.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and resource for Navy Federal leaders and employees at all levels.
- Design, coordinate and facilitate sessions with groups of leaders to support their professional and business unit development plans.
- Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the leadership development programs, and ad hoc training requests; compile and analyze statistical reports of programs.
- Design and develop learning and development solutions using proven development life cycle to ensure that desired learning objective and goals are achieved.
- Provide coordination and logistical support for training vendors, which may include entering data into the Navy Federal University, managing class rosters, escorting vendors on campus, and setting up classrooms.
- Build and maintain relationships with team members, management, key stakeholders and /or external contacts.
- Support projects and initiatives within the business unit and/or across the organization.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Experience with relevant software including Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access, etc.), and/or training (e.g., Captivate, Articulate).
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

- Knowledge of talent management/leadership development activities to include: Leadership Development, Competency Modeling, Assessments, and Performance Management Experience in widely recognized assessments instruments, such as Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), Korn Ferry/Lominger competencies, Emotional Intelligence, and DiSC.
- Experience working as an adult facilitator, trainer, and internal consultant.
- Experience identifying relevant analytical problems, determining appropriate diagnostic methods, and solving unique and complex problems.
- Experience facilitating discussions with middle and senior management.
- Experience working with all levels of staff, management, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Experience in working which displays increasing levels of responsibility and/or authority.
- Significant experience managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals.
- Advanced skill to successfully influence, lead and/or guide other towards goals.

- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, Training and Development, Organizational Development, Industrial-Organizational Psychology, Behavioral Sciences or related field, or the equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
