Assistant Controller
Location: As of February 2022, NCCPA has transitioned to a hybrid work environment. This position will report into the NCCPA offices in Johns Creek, Georgia on a hybrid schedule.

Why Us, Why Now?
Under the direction of the Controller, as the Assistant Controller you will work as an integral part of our dynamic Finance team to provide accounting management and support for NCCPA, the nccPA Health Foundation and the PA History Society. You will be responsible for assisting with the management of all aspects of finance and accounting including managing payroll, accounts payable/receivable, reconciling accounts, budget, preparing financial statements, and assisting with financial audits.
How Will You Make a Difference? You will…
- Ensure all general ledger schedules are prepared and that accounts are reconciled.
- Prepare quarterly financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) for the Board of Directors.
- Oversee the preparation of annual tax returns (either prepared internally or externally) 1099 forms, federal and state tax returns.
- Prepare semi monthly payroll through third party vendor.
- Preparation of the annual consolidated NCCPA budget.
- Correspond with Physician Assistants, PA organizations and business related organizations in matters relating to finance.
- Review monthly departmental financial variance reports and coordinates the monthly projections from all NCCPA departments.
- Ensure effective management of Finance staff including regular evaluation of performance and development opportunities.
- Implement and manage process improvements and procedures for the Finance department.
Hard Skills You Will Have
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- At least five years of accounting experience.
- Leadership and supervisory experience with a proven ability to direct and manage finance and accounting operations.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications especially in Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat.

Compensation Range: $77,013.00 - $90,000.00
