What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior HR Business Partner position at NCSOFT?
NC America, a newly formed subsidiary of the massive $6bn gaming company NCOSFT, is looking for an a Senior Human Resources Business partner to ensure alignment between the business operations and the HR practices and objectives. In this role, you will provide HR consulting and coaching to departmental leaders and managers to support the business's vision, mission, and overall objectives. This position will also implement integrated HR initiatives and solutions to advance organizational objectives.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Provide HR guidance in the areas of performance management, staffing, compensation, employee engagement, organizational design, talent management, and organizational change in alignment with organizational objectives.
- Coach managers in handling conversations regarding career growth, performance management, compensation, and equity.
- Conduct new hire orientation and onboarding, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver a meaningful first-day experience.
- Provide counsel and guidance to front line management on employee relations issues and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
- Assist with the development and delivery of communication about HR programs and policies.
- Pulse surveys and communication touch points with employees and management to uncover culture trends and areas for improvement to enhance employee engagement.
- Deliver training and identify learning and development opportunities for employees and management.
- Respond to human resources-related inquiries and liaise between employees and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices and regulations.
- Conduct exit interviews and share feedback with management as well as report findings on attrition trends.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws in all employee related practices including FLSA, FMLA, HIPAA, EEO, ADA, and related compliance areas.
- Liaise with headquarters to align global HR policies and practices
- Provide HR metrics and managerial insight from HRIS & survey data
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a business-related field
- 5 years in a related position
- Ability to provide HR consultation to managers and employees on issues including employee relations, compensation, HR policies, performance management, and recruiting
- Resourceful, problem-solving aptitude and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
- Mastery of California employment laws.
- Strong organizational, multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, presentation skills
- Ethics and cultural awareness
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English (required) and Korean (preferred)
