The North Central Texas Council of Governments is seeking a highly skilled Management Analyst to play a role in evaluating and improving our organization’s efficiency and effectiveness. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting research, analyzing data, and providing strategic recommendations to address complex issues and enhance our operations. Working closely with senior and executive management, this position has a unique opportunity to work closely with, and learn from, key decision makers.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive organizational and programmatic studies and evaluations to assist with agency-wide project development and implementation.
- Gather and analyze data and develop plans and solutions or alternative methods of proceeding, based on a thorough understanding of the project and program.
- Facilitate and work with senior and executive management on short- and long-range strategic plans at the department and agency levels.
- Work both intra- and inter-departmentally to gather data and understand the challenges and needs of each program.
- Develop solutions or alternative practices to address identified issues.
- Assist with financial management and provide technical assistance in the areas of budget preparation, allocations, research and special projects.
- Recommend new systems, procedures, or organizational changes to management.
- Develop and facilitate strategic communication and stakeholder engagement strategies to drive internal and external partner stakeholder engagement on program objectives, outcomes, and goals.
- Prepare detailed and complex reports, written briefs, dashboards, charts and graphs to communicate findings and presentations to stakeholders.
- Work with management to ensure changes are implemented effectively and are yielding the desired results.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a Management Analyst or similar role, preferred.
- Strong understanding of management principles and analytical and forecasting techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and statistical software.
- Excellent communicator with exceptional interpersonal, analytical, written, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation:
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- Starting Salary: $55,504.00- $72,156.00 depending on skills, qualifications and experience.
Officing:
- This position offers a hybrid work option.

Retirement
- NCTCOG participates in a defined contribution plan as an alternative to Social Security. The defined contribution retirement plan provides retirement benefits for all eligible employees. NCTCOG contributes twelve percent (12%) of permanent full-time employees' gross salaries. Participating employees contribute six percent (6%) of gross salary. An employee becomes forty percent (40%) vested in NCTCOG's contributions after three full years of employment. An additional fifteen percent {15%) is vested for each additional year of employment. An employee becomes fully vested after seven years of employment.
