Responsibilities:
- Interpreter to interpret verbatim testimony for all assignments, including but not limited to hearings, meetings, interviews, depositions and trials
- Meeting assigned deadlines for audio and document translations
- Exceed client expectations regarding professionalism and quality interpretation and document translation
- Must be able to accept new or alternative interpreting assignments based on client demand
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of legal interpretation experience. Translating legal and non-legal documents is a plus
- Demonstrate native or near-native fluency in both source and target languages
- Professional attire and demeanor
- Excellent listening, communication, organizational, and customer service skills
- Maintain professionalism at all times with a positive attitude
- Attention to detail
- Accurate and dependable
- Talk in first person
- Arrive to assignment 15 minutes early
Equipment Requirements
- Landline phone if the assignment is telephonic
- Laptop/computer with a camera – for remote appearances
- Reliable transportation for in-person assignments
- Consistent and reliable access to high-speed internet.
