The Senior Tax Associate will be responsible for handling more complex tax compliance assignments for individual, corporate and partnership tax engagements. The individual will work closely with partners, managers and clients with tax compliance and planning.
Essential Duties
- Preparing complex individual, corporate and partnership tax returns for a middle market client base.
- Review tax returns and projects of Tax Staff while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process.
- Develop, motivate and train staff.
- Performing, documenting and summarizing research and conclusions regarding specific tax issues.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Interact with managers, partners and clients.
- Remain up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax law.
Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree in Accounting required; MST a plus.
- 3 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting.
- CPA designation preferred.
- Strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation; review experience a plus.
- Ability to work closely with clients to answer questions or to collect necessary information for tax service requirements.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
