Near North Health, a longstanding pillar of Chicago's healthcare landscape, is seeking a visionary and compassionate Internist to join our dedicated team. Since our inception in 1966, we have remained committed to our mission of providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality primary healthcare services to all, regardless of their financial circumstances. 

As Internist, you will play a pivotal role in our mission to serve primarily low-income uninsured or underinsured residents of Chicago's medically underserved communities. Your ability to assist our patients/clients with coordinating their medical and mental needs will further solidify our position as one of the largest providers of community-based primary care in the city. 

Key Responsibilities:  

• Assessment:  Provides Compassionate patient centered, culturally competent care. Including eliciting patient histories, providing accurate diagnosis and determining effective treatment options.

• Treatment:  Prepares, implements and documents age specific preventive health schedules for adult and geriatric patients. Makes appropriate diagnoses and prescribes appropriate prescriptions and referrals consistent with medical practice guidelines.

• Training & Development:  Plays a role in educating and training medical and healthcare professionals, as needed, and accepts and implements teaching assignments of health center staff as assigned by the Chief Medical Officer.

Qualifications

Education:          Graduate of an Accredited Medical School.

Required Licensure and/or Certification:              Current Illinois State License, Controlled Substance License & DEA.

Minimum Experience: Licensed as a Physician in the State of Illinois.  Completed an Accredited Post-Graduate Training Program in Internal Medicine.  Board Certified or Eligible in Internal Medicine.
