Phlebotomist - Full Time
Second Shift : 11 : 45am-8 : 15pm
Nebraska Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team and help serve patients across our inpatient, outpatient, and emergency department settings at our main campus in Omaha, NE.
Priority consideration given to applicants that have experience doing phlebotomy or have completed a course with hands on training.
Phlebotomists are vital members of our healthcare team and we're looking for individuals who not only excel in technical skills but also contribute to a positive work environment and exceptional experience for our patients.

Shift Details :
- Second shift, 11 : 45am - 8 : 15pm
- Full Time, 40 hours per week
- Weekend and Holiday rotation
- Required to train on First Shift, 3 : 30am - 12 : 00pm, for 6-8 weeks

Duties : Phlebotomist
Responsible for collection and transportation of patient specimens for clinical laboratory testing adhering to department identification policies.
Perform, evaluate, and report patient specimens using point-of-care instrumentation. Demonstrate behavioral skills that contribute to a productive work environment, represent the lab in a professional manner, and provide excellent customer service.
May process and distribute patient specimen for clinical laboratory testing.
Required Qualifications : Phlebotomist
- Minimum of 18 years of age required.
- High school education or equivalent required.
- Effective written and oral communication skills required.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, and flexibility required.
- Computer experience required.
- Attention to detail required.
- Ability to multitask required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
Preferred Qualifications : Phlebotomist
- Direct patient care experience or completion of a phlebotomy course or phlebotomy experience preferred.
