Position Summary:
Necco has an opportunity for a career as a Peer Supporter. The Peer Supporter is uniquely qualified to help individuals recover from mental health challenges because they have real life experiences of the same. Focused on individuals who are resistant to formalized treatment, peer supporters bring a new facet of support to Necco’s treatment modalities.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:
· Ongoing Treatment and Discharge
· Provide strength-based role modeling to individuals with a mental health disorder.
· Use techniques such as personal recovery story, relaxation strategies, and supportive interventions
· Provide individuals with the information and support needed to navigate through supplemental programs
· Participate in treatment team meetings, understand the discharge process, and act as an advocate for person served in a care setting
· Assist individual in managing mental health symptoms and reducing resistance to plan/treatment
Productivity and Supervision
· Meet productivity goals outlined for the position
· Attend mandatory trainings, group supervision and peer supporter supervision as required and ongoing training
· Ensure complete and correct data is entered into the Electronic Health Record, according to timeframes outlined in policy and/or regulation
· Risk Prevention and Management
· Ensure proper documentation, reporting, and staffing of all critical incidents
· Understand and follow HIPPA related regulations
· Collaborate with team regarding critical incidents
· Report all instances of suspected abuse, neglect, or any incident defined as “critical”
· Remain current on all required certifications and ongoing trainings for position

Position Qualifications:
· 21 years of age
· High School Diploma required
· Experience with mental health disorders
· Must be certified by respective state and regulatory board as a peer supporter
· Valid Driver’s License
· Limited Liability Auto Insurance Coverage of 100/300/100
· Organizational, and Written/Oral Communications skills
· Must have the skills necessary to navigate and execute several software programs (i.e. Microsoft offices, Databases, Electronic Health Records, Dashboards, etc.)
· Successful completion of all required Criminal Background checks and drug screenings (if applicable)
· Willingness to help teenagers and young adults in navigating through mental health issues, transitions, and in setting up permanency
· Ability to adhere to scheduled and unplanned deadlines
· Willingness to travel and attend training
· Successful completion of all required training related to rol
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
