Neel-Schaffer, an ENR Top 250 Design firm with offices in 9 states has an opportunity for a CEI Inspector or to join our growing engineering firm. This position will cover work in the Florida Panhandle area, from Mobile AL to Tallahassee FL. The ideal candidate will be based in either of those cities or any locations in between.
This position involves skilled Construction Engineering and Inspection (CEI) field work. The CEI Inspector will be responsible for performing assignments assisting the Senior Inspector in the performance of their duties and will receive general supervision from the Senior Inspector who reviews work while in progress.
The right candidate will be required to complete the Critical Structures Construction Issues, Self-Study Course, and submit the mandatory Certification of Course Completion form (for structures projects).
Education and/or experience:
· High school graduate or equivalent two (2) years of experience in construction inspection, with one (1) year of those years in bridge and/or roadway construction inspection; or
· Engineer Intern with a Civil Engineering degree (requires certificate) having the ability to earn the required qualifications and certifications within one year, plus demonstrated knowledge in the areas listed below.
