DEPARTMENT: Sales
REPORTS TO: Director of Inside Sales and Operations
SUMMARY : The Account Manager positions supports our Outside Sales team by processing sales orders as well as building strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Account Manager processes sales orders from Outside Sales team or directly from customers; negotiating, adding merchandise, and adjusting pricing as needed.
- The Account Manager communicates with customers regarding unit prices, shipping date, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customer.
- Checks inventory control and notifies stock control departments of orders that would deplete stock and initiates purchase requisitions.
- The Account Manager prepares shipping documents and paperwork and confers with production, shipping, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
- Edits orders received for price and nomenclature and reviews and files completed orders.
- Other duties as needed.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION and/ EXPERIENCE:
- Associate's degree or equivalent, or six months to one year related experience and/or training;
- Industry knowledge preferred.
- Previous customer service experience.
- 1 year experience in business to business sales preferred
- 1 year experience in manufacturing preferred.
SKILLS AND COMPETNECIES:
- Proficient in Office suite of programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to work under pressure.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
