Production Manager II
Location: Woodinville, WA
Pay: $$127k 158k base
We are presently seeking qualified candidates for a Production Manager II opportunity with a local leading innovator of life science products in Woodinville, WA.
Responsibilities:
- Manages, leads, and develops team of production supervisors and teams.
- Coordinates with production planning to optimize resources and meet scheduled manufacturing events, budget and capacity planning.
- Develops production and operating reports and resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and delays.
- Improves product cost structure by improving on utilization and efficiency of direct labor.
- Supports material and quality review boards to process nonconformances, complaints and trends to identify and recommend corrective and / or preventive actions
- Supports external audits and internal audit program as requested.
- Assists in the design review of new or modified products and processes. Challenges process designs to improve manufacturability, safety and effectiveness of products.
- Develops and delivers training materials as requested.
- Supports product improvement projects as needed.
- Develops, reviews and challenges existing quality system procedures.
- Collaborates cross functionally on quality issues and ensures production corrective actions are implemented and effective.
- Basic application of statistical tools and methods. Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEAs) and develops fishbone analysis, control charts, and capability studies, as needed.
- Supports external/internal audits as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a life science or related field
- 8 years manufacturing production supervisory experience, preferably in a regulated environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication, public-speaking, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
- Strong customer orientation and focus.
- Knowledge of the device/drug/biotech manufacturing process.
- Familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems a plus.
- MS Office
- Thorough understanding of ISO 13485, FDA regulations, GMP and GLP requirements required.
- Basic working knowledge of laboratory environments, materials, and apparatus.
