Content Planning Intern - Summer 2024

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic intern to join us for the Summer 2024 semester! This is a great opportunity for current college students looking to gain experience in a fast-paced work environment while learning from our experienced team.

Reporting to the Content Planning Manager, the Content Planning Intern will provide a variety of support to NESN’s daily content production while gaining valuable experience in various aspects of a successful sports media company.

This will be an onsite position located at our offices in Watertown, MA.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist Content Planning Manager in all essential functional tasks including but exclusive to…
• Managing the editing and updating of the Daily Content Scrum tracker
• Aiding in the strategic alignment, creation and updating of Planning documents for key content tentpoles
• Key liaison to all content functions, able to navigate between and connecting people and information so each production, plan and project has full input and visibility to all necessary stakeholders.
• Aid in setting up and management of all essential meetings (before and after the project) to ensure a regular cadence of collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Completing a BA/BS degree in communication, Journalism, tv/film production, media studies or other related degree
• Previous internship, coursework, or through a student organization experience.
• Must have solid knowledge of and interest in sports.
• Must have solid knowledge of and interest in content production of all means and mediums.
• Excellent organizational skills. Must be detail and process oriented.
• Must possess basic production experience and understanding.
• Ability to be successful working in a fast paced, loosely structured environment.
• Should have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision but also able to work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience working with/having knowledge of new media practices and/or multiple media formats, text, video, audio and photo - is a plus.
