Reporting to the Managing Editor, the Content Producer I is a multi-faceted position contributing to NESN news shows. The Content Producer I will produce sports highlights, propose and execute graphics and edit packages. On occasion, the Content Producer I may also contribute to remote events by overseeing and running the score bug including all sponsored elements.
About You
- You will:
- Determine narrative of Red Sox, Bruins, Celtics and Patriots storylines and develop and edit entertaining highlights, segments, and packages
- Evaluate player/coach sound and produce/edit packages for news and studio
- Decide on most important plays for out-of-town highlights into Red Sox and Bruins coverage
- Pitch and collaborate with show producers on graphic ideas for full pages, lower-thirds, topic bars, and rear projector images for assigned NESN news or studio show
- Research editorial stats through game notes and websites, conceive original graphics and packages from that research, and determine how stats are presented in rundown templates and packages
- Input content into template field in ENPS rundown through MOS.
- Double-check accuracy of spelling, math and photo and graphical images associated with templates, highlights and packages
- Protect NESN’s rights by citing source when graphical information or a quote is used from another media entity
- Research and inputs content for quote boards into ENPS MOS rundown
- Research stats, images and information for customized graphics and quality control customized graphics produced by Creative Services
- Learn how the Ross Expression works in order to operate manually
- Learn to shoot PMW 200 and PMW 500 cameras proficiently
- Learn how to edit non-linearly on the Sony system
- Maintain daily expertise on New England professional and college sports by reading newspapers and websites
- Maintain graphic content archive with the ENPS to update or re-use graphics as warrants editorially
- Successfully perform other duties as assigned by the Coordinating Producer and Supervising Producer

- You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film or equivalent work experience required.
- 3+ years experience in sports television at a regional or national level
- Strong sports knowledge of New England professional and college sports is necessary
- Ability to research stats and accompany visual elements
- Knowledge of ENPS is expected
- Excellent written, verbal communication organizational skills are required
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook is necessary
