Hours: 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:30 AM - 8:00 PM)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated CT Technologist I to join our team at Atrium Health Cabarrus. The CT Technologist I will perform CT procedures with a high level of proficiency, operating CT scanners and associated equipment in accordance with departmental protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform CT scans and operate related equipment, including post-processing stations, IV contrast injectors, and patient monitoring equipment.
• Verify orders and consult with Radiologists and ordering providers to resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process, collecting medical history, and documenting on appropriate worksheets.
• Administer and document IV contrast as per departmental protocols.
• Evaluate technical quality of images and consult with Radiologists as needed.
• Initiate life support measures and assist during medical emergencies.
• Maintain a safe and orderly work environment and adhere to infection control policies.
• Operate radiology computer systems and ensure proper documentation of contrast administration.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA and ARRT approved program in Radiologic Technology.
• Certifications: ARRT (CT) certification required. BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
• Skills: Proficiency in operating CT scanners, knowledge of radiation safety, strong patient monitoring skills, and ability to adhere to ergonomic and safety protocols.
