Purpose of Position
The Director of IT will be responsible for delivery and support of critical business systems (.COM and Owner Mobile Applications) in alignment with our Owner digital experience. This role will lead multiple product teams and has overall responsibility for ensuring software solutions follow a quality development process, building strong partnerships with product management and business stakeholders to align delivery with enterprise business priorities through integrated delivery roadmaps, timely communication to stakeholders and sponsors, talent development, strategic program execution and operational excellence.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Partner with business leaders to ensure application direction aligns with business and IT strategies by aligning application lifecycle roadmaps to Business capability maturity and IT strategy.
- Deploy lean integrated processes to improve the experience for the owner and creating operational efficiencies within NetJets.
- Leveraging market competitiveness and usage analytics to improve the NetJets digital products.
- Execute new technology introductions / new product innovations and deployments. Key digital domain areas similar but not limited to: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), eCommerce Platforms, Business Intelligence, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Mobile Applications.
- Manage the technical currency of applications to comply with Information Security and Enterprise architecture standards
- Communicate business plans and IT roadmaps to IT teams
- Oversee the support and development of applications within the assigned portfolio
- Own the delivery focused on quality, stability, service and speed to delivery
- Partner with Product Owners and other IT stakeholders to establish intake, prioritization, and assignment of requests
- Maintain and communicate a prioritized backlog
- Stay abreast of application impacts through collaboration with Product Owners, Application Development Leaders/Technical Leads, and other IT teams
- Utilize agile software development lifecycle to drive acceleration of benefits realization, end user satisfaction, and quality assurance. Ensure ownership, accountability, and on time delivery.
- Rigorously manage estimates, forecasts, and actuals related to budgets and benefits realizations.
- Establishes operational rigor, metrics, reviews and rhythms to ensure system performance, availability, business continuity, and end user satisfaction.

- Senior management experience in the design and implementation of complex systems along with a strong background leading a software development organization
- Minimum of 10 plus years of progressively increasing experience in the design and implementation of complex IT systems.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in the design and implementation of .COM and Mobile applications
- Proven leadership ability in leading projects and development organizations in sizeable companies with many business unit and departmental organizations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a focus on the ability to leverage technology as a business enabler.
- Proven ability to motivate teams, clarify complex situations into simple direction, build consensus, and mediate compromises when necessary.
- Experience with project/resource management tools, agile team management tools/information radiators, risk management, and software development life cycle/project management life cycle processes and disciplines.
- Experience in risk, change and scope management. This includes experience with agile ceremonies to plan and estimate, map story cards, and establish delivery targets (MVPs)
- Ability to delegate and mentor.
- Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of technology architecture and infrastructure strategy and design.
