Responsibilities:
Responsible for the daily supervision of Asset Servicing – (Corporate Actions) departmental operations and staff. Individual will be responsible for monitoring workloads, ensuring operational groups have optimal controls in place to mitigate risk and ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to and properly documented. Individual must be familiar with equity and fixed income corporate action election process including processing mandatory and voluntary events within an accounting system.
Manager and direct staff in the daily performance of their duties ensuring adherence to established procedures.
Ensure timeliness and verify accuracy on all domestic and international fixed income and equity corporate actions processed on the accounting system.
Work with global internal counterparts to ensure processes are running efficiently
Provide accurate and timely reporting to client oversight teams
Train and develop teams’ ability to research and resolve complex problems.
Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Consistently assess and improve workflow processes to mitigate risk and create efficiencies
Assist in managing departmental projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly manages exempt and non-exempt staff.
Plans, allocates, monitors work and makes decisions regarding employment, performance appraisal, training, salary and related personnel actions.
Assess training needs and assist in career development
Minimum Required Qualifications
Strong supervisory and team building skills.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of mandatory and voluntary corporate actions, corporate action election response management, and dividend income.
Knowledge of the mutual fund industry
Ability to work and make decisions independently.
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Three years of experience within the financial sector with direct experience related to corporate action processing. One year supervisory experience preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent required
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary range for this position is, $105,000 - $115,000 commensurate with experience 2 annual bonus awards, qualification, and performance. Compensation can also vary based on other factors, such as cost of living.
This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus
