Forensic Interviewer - Full Time

Located in Bucks County, PA, the Bucks County Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC), a service of NOVA, provides a safe and child-friendly environment in which the CAC staff, law enforcement, child welfare, prosecution, advocacy, medical and mental health professionals collaborate to implement effective and coordinated investigations of suspected child abuse.

The Forensic Interviewer will be responsible for conducting legally sound and developmentally appropriate recorded forensic interviews of children suspected to have been abused or a witness to violence. Additional responsibilities include working collaboratively with an on-site multi-disciplinary team that includes law enforcement, prosecution, and child protective services, facilitating the team interview process during interviews, participating in peer review and team meetings, and providing education, training, and consultation for other professionals from various disciplines. The Forensic Interviews are conducted in Jamison, Fairless Hills, and Perkasie offices in Bucks County, PA.

Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, criminology, or a related field. Masters preferred.
• Experience conducting Forensic Interviews required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge in the field of child abuse and/or the criminal justice system.
• Experience working with child victims or other victims of crime preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Consistent and reliable access to transportation.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule.
• Meets all required clearances for employment (e.g., IRCA, Criminal Record Check, etc.)
