Job Description
- Apply paint to walls furniture and structures.
- Washes scrapes, sands, and/or smooth interior and exterior surfaces prior to painting, varnishing, lacquering or applying other related materials.
- Installs, repairs, and maintains drywalls, wall texturing, and ceiling acoustic texturing.
- Erects various types, staging, ladders, and planks to reach surfaces of work area for Painters and others.
- Examine and maintain painted exterior and interior painted surfaces, trimming and fixtures.
- Prepare surfaces and apply paints, stains, shading stains, and clear finishes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- please note that this individual will also be responsible for helping with small maintenance projects alongside the maintenance team.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, materials, and application techniques common to the painting trade.
- Knowledge and skill in hazardous materials handling, application, and disposal.
- Identification, safe handling, and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.
- Skill in the preparation and application of paints, stains, and surface preparation materials to a wide variety of surfaces.
HS Diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- Previous interior and exterior experience, detail orientated.
- Knowledge of all paint and stain types.
- A positive and professional attitude.
