Our specially designed programs provide proven pathways for refugees and other immigrants to realize their full potential and dreams as they build new lives. Our comprehensive model is unique. We begin with resettlement services and offer steady guidance and advocacy for each family as they pursue jobs, education, cultural integration, individual and female empowerment, and whatever each person needs on their pathway to succeed. Job Description
New American Pathways is in search of 10 strong Vaccine Outreach Ambassadors, who are from the refugee and Clarkston communities, to promote vaccination in the Clarkston area! Ambassadors will work to promote vaccination through:
- Completing three Covid-19 or flu vaccine outreach activities for their community such as but not limited to focus group discussion, media posts for WhatsApp, Tik Tok, or other social medias in native languages, townhalls, phone banking or hosting events
- Serve as a liaison to their community to disseminate Covid-19 and flu vaccine information
- Assist in referring members of the community for Covid-19 or flu vaccine appointments
- Having one-on-one conversations or group sessions to increase Covid-19 and flu vaccine confidence in their communities - Identifying specific barriers to vaccination in their communities
- Collaborating on what outreach methods would be most effective for their communities
- Pass background check
- Comply to HIPAA regulations Community Ambassadors will be trained on vaccine background and information and are free to reach out for any resources or information needed.
Qualifications
The best Community Ambassadors are:
- Excited about leadership positions
- Bilingual or multilingual in languages spoken in Clarkston (Swahili, Karenni, Arabic, Nepali, Burmese, Rohingya, Somali, Karen, Pashto etc.)
- Familiar with the Clarkston community
- Excellent communicators
- Effective at time management and meeting deadlines
- Can maintain communication with team members
- Enjoy public speaking
- Able to host at least three events and attend trainings on Saturdays
- Passionate about getting vulnerable and underserved communities vaccinated
