POSITION SUMMARY: This role will have you reporting to the Plant Manager, where you will be responsible for ensuring that the cell is operating in a safe and efficient manner, meeting its delivery commitments, and providing high quality product to the required specification in accordance with the production schedule. Provide leadership and direction to your team members, encourage effective communication within the cell and promote positive employee relations.

• Support all company safety initiatives, conduct weekly safety walks, enforce all safety policies, ensure all employees are trained in safe work procedures, submit hazard and spill reports as required.
• Work with supervisor and other team leads to manage and prioritize staffing assignments to ensure customer demand and the production schedule are met.
• Execute and coordinate employee training to ensure that procedures are followed and meet all quality requirements.
• Lead the manufacturing cell by coordinating the daily cell meeting with a focus of achieving the goal of 100% build in station requirement. Present the results and corrective action based on weekly review pf the cell metric results. Ensure active participation from the supporting department of quality, manufacturing engineering and the material group.
• Maintain the production schedule through the coordination of both in station and out of station requirements, scheduling of overtime as required and cross training employees.
• Perform all functions of SQA dealing with SCA reports, product review, auditing, corrective action, follow up.
• Complete special assignments as required.
• Complete work cell items and containment actions in a timely manner as they occur.
• Must be able to train Team leaders in production processes.

• Three to Five years previous supervisory experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred.
• Lean Manufacturing / 5S experience.
• Ability to read Blueprints.
• Superior interpersonal, problem solving and communicating skills.
• Superior Auto CAD, Microsoft computer and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to mentor others, and ability to work well under pressure.
• Goal orientated and motivation to achieve tasks within set timelines.
