Pay Range: $16.83 - $26.44/hour
Position Summary:
This position is responsible for providing support to the Finance Department.
Organization of documents and coding for data entry into various software platforms.
The ability to research and troubleshoot is a must. Work schedule if flexible. Work assignments may change as needed but will fall within the job duties. This position is not responsible for all cash receipts and all accounts payable. Sometimes NHI needs help with collections, other times it needs help with AP or gathering information for an audit.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sort, code and enter invoices/employee expense reports into accounts payable system as well as trouble shoot any invoice discrepancies.
- Maintain vendor files and address vendor inquiries.
- Vendor reconciliations
- Resolve PO discrepancies.
- Collections/customer credit checks/and account set-up.
- Handling customer invoice inquiries
- Filing
- Assist with cash receipts and collections. Includes posting receipts and collections calls.
- Assist with accounts payable: invoice printing, coding, getting authorizations, and posting.
- Accrued payables processing.
- Respond to questions and requests for information related to accounting and finance.
- Frequent conversation by phone and email with customers and vendors.
- Frequent problem solving and research, especially with AR and AP.
- Frequent printing, data entry, and filing.
Skills & Abilities:
- 3 Year’s Experience in finance.
- Excellent phone skills
- Excellent communication skills, can communicate effectively both written and verbal
- Strong organizational skills including ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment
- Excellent analytical skills including the ability to research, interpret, and report on accounting data.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must possess a professional attitude; be flexible and responsive to change.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable
- Great Plains software experience a plus
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and vernacular.
- Excellent customer service.
- Ability to get work done in a timely manner with few or no mistakes.
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Teams, File Explorer, and Word.
- Proficient analyzing situations, collecting data, establishing facts, drawing valid conclusions, working alone and collaboratively to resolve problems.
- Courteous, helpful, well organized, well spoken, self-motivated to succeed, and trustworthy.
