This is a time certain 10-month position with full benefits for the 2023-24 school year.
Job Goal: The position is only for this school year and is a full-time substitute position at one school location only. Subs should report to their school each day and mandatory teacher workdays. Each day, this person will receive an assignment to maintain a safe, orderly environment and high level of student learning in place of an absent teacher.
Please also upload your verification of education (high school diploma or official college transcripts) and teaching license if applicable.
References must include your current or most recent supervisor.
Additional requirements after the pre-screening process to complete include a principal interview, as well as completion of online NHCS Substitute Training and Effective Teacher Training if you do not have a teaching license.
Qualifications: Non-certified subs must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Forty-eight credit hours or college degree preferred. Experience working with children preferred. Certified subs must have a bachelor's degree in education with a teaching license.

Salary:
- For those holding current NC licensure: $21.00 per hour/ 7.5 hour day
- For those with expired NC or out of state license: $19.00 per hour/ 7.5 hour day
- For those without a license: $17.00 per hour/ 7.5 hour day
