What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager position at New Horizons?
The Community Connections Program Manager is responsible for various functions to include compliance, training and engagement with families. The Manager also provides support to families using strategies to support the client to be fully engaged and included in each aspect of their daily life.
Essential Functions/Job Duties:
- Complete all duties and responsibilities in accordance with the agency Code of Ethics.
- Maintain compliance with governing authorities including the Bureau of Quality Improvement in Services, Rule IAC 460, Department of Labor, and the agency Quality Management System.
- Direct and oversee the training of the Direct Support Staff on the services identified to meet the needs of the individuals within the operational guidelines of the Community Connections program to reflect the mission and cultural values of the agency.
- Maintain positive relations and timely communication with other agency staff, management, and community resources to achieve program outcomes.
- Participate in screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding new staff and the ongoing training needs of all staff while monitoring compliance to requirements.
- Review and approve billing and staff time for payroll on scheduled bases.
- Be proactive in communication with the Direct Support Staff offering recognition, appreciation, team building, and training.
- Provide support to meet needs in scheduling, plan outcomes, and reporting requirements.
- Complete annual reviews of employees.
- Other duties related to the mission of the agency and program outcomes as assigned to include assistance during emergency situations.
Other Job Responsibilities:
- Build relationships with families to promote LifeCourse, Virtual NHR, and other programs to assure individual needs are met.
- Meet regularly with the Program Director in the review of program indicators, adherence to budget, monthly plans and attend meetings and training.
