Job Overview
The Bilingual (Spanish) Mortgage Finance Associate will assist the Address Yourself team with research and other programmatic activity designed to spur homeownership in New Jersey.
Responsibilities
- Support programmatic activities in communities identified by AY leadership team, including providing basic home buyer education to first time homebuyers, evaluating mortgage purchase affordability, vetting clients for first time homebuyer supports and collecting documentation from clients to assist them in applying for said supports;
- Receiving, monitoring, uploading, aggregating and reporting counseling data from our nonprofit housing counseling partners using existing systems;
- Receiving, monitoring, uploading and reporting lending data from our Credit Union partners;
- Supporting the implementation of our Salesforce program and the receipt, aggregation and reporting out of both counseling and lending data both internal/external NCC impact assessment;
- Supporting the design upgrades and marketing efforts to increase public awareness of the Address Yourself website and social media;
- Attend and support Homeownership events sponsored by or supported by NJCC in New Jersey;
- Provide research and support in identifying new communities that will benefit from AY’s affordable housing outreach programs.
Qualifications
- Have a passion for affordable housing and a strong interest in social justice.
- Be committed to mission-driven work that supports low and moderate income families, especially in foreign born communities.
- Spanish language proficiency.
- Excellent communications skills.
- Demonstrable proficiency with Microsoft Excel required; familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred; extra points for experience with Salesforce and Wordpress.
