New Jersey Conservation Foundation is seeking a full time staff member to join our team in Northern and Central New Jersey. Work will focus in the Sourland Mountain area, but will include sites throughout the state. Responsibilities include basic property monitoring and maintenance, recruiting and managing volunteers, maintaining hiking trails, removing invasive species, leading public programs, and designing and implementing habitat restoration projects. The position involves significant in-state travel, and physically demanding work activities. Candidate must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including weekend and evening hours, and use their personal vehicle for work.
We are seeking candidates who have a passion for conservation and a commitment to NJ Conservation’s mission. Qualifications to be considered include: knowledge of native ecology, practical skills including carpentry and use of outdoor power tools, and demonstrated success in project management. Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience preferred.
The salary range for this position is $48,000 - $58,000. We offer a competitive benefits package, including paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time, health insurance, life insurance and a 401k plan.
