What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Division Manager position at New Jersey Courts?
SALARY: The salary range for this position is $96,989.82 to $145,172.94. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater.

Example of Duties
- Completing staff performance assessments
- Training, coaching, developing and mentoring staff
- Recommending disciplinary and/or employee recognition actions
- Functioning as a subject matter expert
- Participating in meetings, seminars, and conferences as required
- Serving on both local and statewide committees
Duties related to technology include, but are not limited to:
- Planning, organizing, and managing the work, projects, and responsibilities of the Information Technology staff
- Identifying business needs and developing recommendations and solutions
- Analyzing and assessing operational needs and making appropriate recommendations to the Division Manager
- Working effectively with all levels of staff
- Ensuring timely management of help desk and work requests
- Learning highly complex information technology systems
Knowledge of various computer applications and technologies including, but not limited to: Windows Server administration, Data Backup and Recovery, Windows 10 desktop O/S, Microsoft Active Directory, DFS, DHCP, Microsoft Group Policy Management, Microsoft SCCM, Microsoft SharePoint, Videoconferencing solutions, mobile device management, VoIP administration, MSOffice 365, OneDrive, OneNote, and MS Teams preferred. Application development/programming skills coupled with MS Access /SQL are also preferred.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional professional experience on a year-for-year basis with one year of such experience being equal to 30 semester hour credits. An associate's degree and two years of additional professional experience may be substituted for the required bachelor's degree. A master's degree may be substituted for one year of experience as indicated above -OR- a law degree may be substituted for two years of experience as indicated above.
