For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to August 20, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after August 20, 2014, are considered Schedule B. The Judiciary offers a strong opportunity for growth.The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with exceptional customer service, technical competence, organizational awareness, and interpersonal skills to join the Office of Probation Services, Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) in the Northern Regional Office (Montclair, NJ). Under the general direction of the Regional Chief (Court Executive 2B), the selected individual will be responsible for the direct supervision of the regional office clerical unit.The Intensive Supervision Program (ISP) is a program designed to treat both adult inmates and juvenile offenders in the community under strict supervision. The individual having gone through a rigorous screening process, is given an opportunity to abide by a set of rules and thereby earn their continued release to the community. The reorientation to the community depends upon that individual’s commitment to change.REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 2 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high speed home internet access.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provide supervision and oversight to a team of clerical staff members. Review and check work of team members for accuracy. Conduct formal performance advisories as required on a bi-annual basis. Make recommendations to management regarding addressing personnel matters up to and including recommending formalized disciplinary actions as needed. Make recommendations to management regarding improvements in ISP policy, procedures, work processes and administrative practices. Provide training, coaching, and mentoring for clerical staff members. Manage the regional fleet of vehicles. Coordinate vendor billing and assign related tasks to clerical staff members as needed. Provide day to day oversight of the clerical functions/duties within the regional office. Perform other related duties as assigned.Note: Although this position is located in the ISP Northern Office (Montclair, NJ), travel to other ISP Regional Offices, Central Office (Trenton, NJ), and other Judiciary locations may be required. Note: ISP/JISP is a statewide program. Management reserves the right to reassign employees based on operational needs.

Driver's License: Appointee will be required to possess a driver's license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations. Special Note: Newly hired employees must agree to a thorough background check that will include fingerprinting.
