SALARY: The salary range for this position is $75,625.44 to $122,579.04 for Schedule A, and $75,625.44 to $116,450.09 for Schedule B. For newly hired individuals, the starting salary will normally be at the minimum of the salary range. For current Judiciary employees, salary upon promotion or advancement will be an increase of 5% of base salary, not to exceed the maximum of the range, or the minimum salary of the band/level, whichever is greater. Judiciary employees hired prior to June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule A. Newly hired individuals, and Judiciary employees hired on or after June 3, 2014, are considered Schedule B.

The New Jersey Judiciary is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented supervisor to oversee the operation of internal and external websites and SharePoint solutions. Current technologies include HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Drupal, and SharePoint Online. Under the direction of the senior manager for web services, the supervisor will coordinate with stakeholders, content creators, and web publishers to ensure that Judiciary websites contain timely, accurate, and usable content; guide the planning and implementation of new web projects; assist with writing and editing web content; assign and assess the work of web team and SharePoint team members; test new features; research industry tools and trends for possible adoption; participate in the procurement process for new products and services; and ensure that Judiciary websites adhere to best practice standards for usability, accessibility, and SEO. The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, superior organization and people skills, and a passion for customer service.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong writing and editing skills as well as proficiency in html, JavaScript, and CSS. Familiarity with content management systems, such as WordPress, SharePoint, or Drupal is a plus. Experience designing or building websites as well as SEO, digital content strategy, and accessibility compliance are highly desired.
REMOTE WORK: The Judiciary currently offers a hybrid work schedule, and this position may qualify for up to 3 days of remote work outside of Judiciary buildings. To participate in this program, you will be required to have high-speed home internet access.
- Lead a high performing team to deliver dynamic statewide Drupal websites that are usable, accessible, efficient, secure, data-driven, and supportive of multi-channel digital content flows.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and clearly communicate technical challenges to those with less technical knowledge.
- Collaborate with other Judiciary technical support offices to ensure proper configurations and connectivity.
- Interact with vendors, consultants, and other external resources to obtain necessary services.
- Provide technical guidance during the procurement process.
- Lead the planning, design, configuration, testing, debugging, implementation, and support of Drupal websites.
- Plan sprints, test and validate code changes, and manage project boards to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead daily standup meetings and direct the work efforts of team members to meet established time goals for projects.
- Participate in planning and managing Drupal web development team and effectively utilize team members’ skills and experience to accomplish goals.
- Mentor team members, address performance-related issues, approve leave requests and timesheets.
- Make recommendations regarding staffing, training, and technologies the team needs for optimal performance and productivity.
Substitution: Applicants who do not possess the required education may substitute additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience on a year for year basis with one (1) year of such experience being equal to thirty (30) semester hour credits. An Associate's Degree and two (2) years of additional paraprofessional and/or professional experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree may be substituted for one (1) year of general experience as indicated above. A Law Degree may be substituted for two (2) years of general experience as indicated above.
Authorization to Work: US citizenship is not required. Selected candidate must be authorized to work in the US according to Department of Homeland Security, US Citizenship and Immigration Services regulations.
